    Right..they're not financial service co.'s in the same sense as JPM or MS. Most are either REIT's with an underlying portfolio or BDC (business development company) which also hold an underlying portfolio as well. Check yer facts and definitions.

    Concur here. Worked in the industry during Glass Stegal and after. Worked better when it was in place. It was easier to do business before the "Patriot" act too.
