A European shipbroker by profession, in his spare time Mr. Di Carmine is a value investor managing his own portfolio. He's a long term value investor in companies whose spot market value deeply underrates either their normalized earning power or their equity fair value.
Mr. Di Carmine therefore looks for: 1) low Price to Earnings or Price to Book stocks, 2) turnaround plays, 3) companies with good historical profitability track records tainted by temporary, solvable problems or cyclical downturn of their industry, or 4) companies with business model or wide moat position supporting the payment of a solid dividend.
