The euro flies higher as word hits that Mario Monti has formed a new government in Italy and his cabinet appointments begin to filter out. Of note, is that Monti has kept head of the finance ministry for himself, perhaps a signal of complete cooperation with Brussels/Berlin. Euro back to flat for the day, Stoxx 50 +0.4%.
