Sunday, November 20, 2011, 6:35 PM ETWith the expansion of the EFSF - the idea that levitated markets throughout October culminating in Oct. 27th's moonshot - already looking dead, the EC leaks the next bazooka: A proposal for joint issuance of bonds among member nations. This one may not have any legs as Germans are vehemently opposed to going joint and severally liable with their spendthrift neighbors, and their constitutional court seems to have put the kibosh on the idea 2 months ago.

Both Dems and Rep's are responsible for the current mess, if you kill all of the Dems we will not be any better off...
Irregardless of political ideology the changes that need to happen are fundamental personal changes, Integrity, trust, and a belief in the goodness of people brought about by the people selflessly doing what is good and right.
It really comes back to our endless need for material goods, our whole system is built around the consumption of "Things" It is the pursuit of these things that has corrupted us internally...
I recall Pius XII saying the same thing back in 1948.
Nice sentiment and great ideals. Unfortunately, the greed is good, and so long as I get mine, and the end justifies the mean, etc. is firmly entrenched now. And it has paid off BIG TIME for many.
The only thing that can likely turn this around is prosecution, serious jail time, and loss of most ill gotten wealth. We do have the means to do that ... it's called RICO laws. But the corrupt politicians, crony capitalists, lobbyists, vested interests, wall street financial engineers, etc control the political and legal system and they will not willingly give up their money machines.
So, unless you have some constructive ways to mobilize the citizenry, then not much will happen. It's pretty tough for the 99% to fight the 1% when they control everything from law making, to wealth, to media, to the legal system.
Spirituality and our Moral compass exists independent of religion though religion supports that growth, religion is not the only way.
I only say this because sometimes people equate spiritual or internal growth to religion and as we have seen religion is a divisive subject..
Spiritual Growth is possible by simply making the choice to be a better person.
How much could our government (Congress and the Senate) do via secure web meetings, I mean really if they are not going to do anything why not do it via the internet from home?
The system can be changed, We used to idolize all that stood for good and we took pride in good virtue now we revel in all that is bad and wrong, somewhere along the way bad and wrong became good for the sake of entertainment so much so that it is now the norm...
Clear thru the smoke and you'll see this is not a Republican or Democrat problem, its a political leadership problem from both sides.
Shoot dems on site; well that's just foolish talk. Stay in South America and leave the US to people who want to make it better, not tear it down.
I’m a Democratic. I fought for my country. Are you going to shoot a Veteran too?
This isn't a Democrat/Republican problem...it is a problem of governance and lax overight by western countries citizens (which prefer to be consumers).
