    Google Apps (GOOG) has become a threat to Microsoft's (MSFT) Office cash cow ... but how much of one? Many SMBs have embraced Google Apps due to its low costs and useful collaboration features. But outside of a few big wins, large enterprises have been unwilling to abandon Office, citing (among other things) Office's rich feature set, and fears of being dependent on a cloud-based service.

    Most organisations concerned with security will Google Apps. Who wants a mistake where your business docs can be seen by the world.

    Google's versions of MS Office software are heavily stripped down. I attempted to use them for a few months but inevitably had to go back to Office. Too much of what I depend on was unavailable.

    when did it become cool for computers to do less?
