Leaked slides suggest high-end Core i7 chips will arrive in April, followed by less powerful Core i5 and i7 parts in May. The least power-hungry Ivy Bridge chips will still have a max power draw of 17W; high-end ARM-based (ARMH) CPUs for mobile devices consume less than 2W. (Haswell)

    Comparing Ivy Bridge with ARM is an apples and elephants comparison. Ivy Bridge was never meant for smartphones. It's like complaining that a Ferrari doesn't get the gas mileage of a Vespa scooter.
