Thursday, December 8, 2011, 9:59 AM ETUnlike SAP/SuccessFactors, IBM's (IBM -0.3%) purchase of DemandTec (DMAN +55.4%) isn't providing a lift to most cloud software names - perhaps partly due to the relative narrow focus of DemandTec's solutions. However, rival SPS Commerce (SPSC +1.4%) is up slightly. IBM's acquisition is the latest in a string of analytics-related buys; other targets include Cognos, Netezza, Platform Computing, i2, Algorithmics, Q1 Labs, and OpenPages.
