  • I'm confused. I thought Cyber Monday and Black Friday were record sales days and therefore sales should have climbed substantially.

Up between 8-30% depending upon the source.

Don't tell me it was just hype again?

  • CW:

With the exception of a single month (May 2010) retail sales have increased every month since October 2009.

  • Tack,

Just pointing out the difference between hype and reality - that's it.

    Headlines from that time included:

"Black Friday Online Retail Spending Up 24.3%"

    WSJ
"Black Friday Sales Gains Strongest Since 2007"

Like you punditry of the hype variety really bugs me.

  • I believe it is because Cyber Monday and Black Friday are both in October.
