Tuesday, December 13, 2011, 2:57 PM ETConsumers are returning more and more electronic gadgets even when they're not defective, generating huge costs for retailers and manufacturers, Accenture reports, estimating $16.7B will be spent in 2011 repairing, reboxing, restocking and reselling such products. The return rate for the devices is 11%-20%, with more than half of retailers reporting higher return rates than previous years.
