  • Wednesday, December 21, 2011, 3:58 PM Rovio's absurdly popular Angry Birds series managed to grab 3 spots (#1, #4, and #7) on analytics firm Distimo's list of the most popular mobile apps for 2011. Facebook came in at #2, and Skype (MSFT) at #3. Distimo's 2011 report also claims both the iPhone and iPad App Stores (AAPL) continue to generate far more revenue than Android Market (GOOG), in spite of Android's incredible growth. (previously)

    Don't look now, but AAPL's closing in on $400. Looks like the bears are going to lose on this one for a while. A material earnings beat should propel the stock to $450 rather comfortably. $500 will likely be touched in 2012. Apple's bottom support number should move up to about $380 from $365 or so. No recession in the U.S. as all of the indicators are pointing to a reasonably healthy economy, apart from debt levels. All that can hold Apple down now is a broad sell-off triggered from some cataclysm coming out of Europe. The shorts simply can't get very far w/ this stock.
