More on Apple's (AAPL) rumored TV ambitions: Sterne Agee's Shaw Wu claims Apple wants to allow consumers to subscribe to Internet-based TV channels and shows through its sets on an a la carte basis. • a la carte is my dream--most people, myself included, only want a few channels.... and all people want lower bills. if this takes hold, Comcast and the likes may be nice shorts.

  • Which is why Big Telco will never let it happen. They see how the music industry and mobile phone industry are at Apple's mercy, which is why the Telco will probably band together to avoid the same fate (no matter how much it would benefit consumers)

  • That is what I'm looking forward to as well. Only downside I see is that the Sports Enthusiast will have a hard time getting a la carte from the network. I am willing to pay a premium to buy a particular football game at a higher price. I want to get rid of my monthly cable (attuverse) bill as well.

  • Most people originally thought that the IPad was irrelevant and didn't have a place in the tech world in between computers and smart phones. If Mr Jobs had a say in the TV ideas that they want to hit production with, I'd wait to see how good the idea pans out first........!
