what if I want coupled plan, if it saves me money
It's like Costco only allowing customers with a membership to shop there. But since there are plenty of other similar outlets to shop they aren't breaking any rules; simply, theoretically, hurting themselves for turning away consumers. But as we know not all theories are true. Enough of my digression now...
What do you get for all that? A couple hundred channels replaying the same movies, sitcoms and infomercials night after night. The quality of reporting on television, newspapers, and the internet with their round the clock reporting gets you hundreds of sources all reporting the same tabloid nonsense with almost no in-depth reporting.
So what does the average modern family pay for all of this improved technology? My guess is too much for what you get. Eventually our fascination with texting, face book, twittering and brainless games will subside. Why else would such quasi-monopolies as T and VZ sport dividend yields far in excess of the tobacco stocks?
What happens when daddy loses his job or mom gets her hours cut back. What do you cut--mortgage payments, gas and electric, food? The latest VZ snafu over a proposed online payment gouge stinks of desperation. The tech fad de jour is about to slow.
