Chevron to pay $2M fine for San Francisco refinery fire
- Chevron (CVX) agrees to pay $2M in fines and restitution after pleading no contest to six misdemeanor charges today stemming from the Aug. 2012 explosion and fire at its San Francisco Bay refinery.
- In a plea agreement worked out with the California AG office and the Contra Costa County district attorney, CVX also will spend three and a half years on probation.
