- Nintendo (OTCPK:NTDOY -1.1%) cuts the price of its Wii U console by $50 to $299.99 effective Sept. 20. The reduction comes as Microsoft and Sony are set to release their Xbox One and Playstation 4 consoles in Nov.
- Nintendo also announced that it will launch a new entry-level handheld gaming device called the 2DS on Oct. 12. Priced at $129.99, the 2DS will render 3DS games in 2D.
