Spanish-language film a major box office hit
- The Labor Day weekend saw the biggest opening ever for a Spanish-language movie after Instructions Not Included took in over $10M for the three-day period to rank fifth at the box office.
- The results for the family comedy were even more impressive considering it was only featured on 400 screens in the U.S. and marketing was limited.
- The film was distributed by a joint venture between Lion's Gate (LGF) and Televisa.
