Exxon shuts California oil pipeline after spill
- ExxonMobil (XOM) confirms it shut down an oil pipeline system at the Port of Long Beach, Calif., yesterday after discovering a crude leak in the area.
- The THUMS pipeline, which delivers crude oil produced in Long Beach Harbor to XOM's refinery in Torrance, Calif., and can process up to 155K bbl/day of crude, was taken offline as a precaution.
- XOM says the oil has been contained but does not say how much oil was released.
