Swift Energy surging after positive Cramer comments
- Swift Energy (SFY) +8% premarket following Jim Cramer's enthusiastic endorsement of the company on Friday's Mad Money.
- Shares have shed 15% YTD as SFY has been slower than peers to move away from natural gas into crude oil, but Cramer thinks it's not too late, and admires the "extremely high quality real estate" SFY holds in the Eagle Ford shale play.
- SFY owns ~65K acres "in the sweet spot" of the Eagle Ford, where the company drilled 71 wells last year and yielded a 100% success rate; "after Swift sells off its Louisiana acreage and focuses on drilling for oil in the Eagle Ford, this will become a very different enterprise," Cramer says.
