An iPad3 with a higher resolution screen and other upgrades likely will be released next month, but traders say the latest surge in Apple (AAPL +1.9%) shares - which closed above $500 for the first time - stems from the growing consensus that it will declare a dividend or even split shares at the Feb. 23 shareholder meeting. But when investors previously have raised such hopes, they've been left at the altar.
