  • What +106.6% is not good enought for you? What is it going to take to show investors to see that all of the other are throttling the customer to death? I say hold on to the stock and let's see what happens in the next quarter when ATT and Verizon customers are finally sick of all this start and stop bull %$(! they are get, to download that new movie they just bought from Dish Network, or the song they just bought from iTunes, for the new stuff they want to get from Google. Guess what....they can't. Why? NO BANDWIDTH....GET IT!

  • So Seeking Alpha imagines some target eps that everyone expected to be negative for that time frame and misses the tremendous improvements for this company. Please review your report on the subject.

  • Clearwire is criminal here. They had been pumping this stock all month leading up to earnings touting about how good sales were. When in fact, they had to know they were going to missing earnings by a ridiculous amount. The managment of Clearwire are a bunch of criminals with no integrity whatsoever. They should have issued some guidance to at least expect the write-off of some old technology. Amazon and NetFlix are also bad about pumping their stocks and playing to the media. Analysts by and large had Clearwire figured out. They continue to be "buffaloed" by the media antics of Amazon and NetFlix.

  • In the congressional bill to extend the payroll tax cuts, the governent is opening up more spectrum for auction (to raise revenue). I am not sure of the impact here but would also like to know. Thanks.

  • Well CLWR own twice as much spectrum then ATT, Verizon, T-mobile. Your comment about them being criminals, I don't get. What would be criminal would be if they didn't give a shifting sands. But, they are a company that is trying to get out of the hole.

But before we go and bash them for trying to get help and get out, you reallly need to take a look at the current problems and not the problems of last year.

Instead of having a..."I can't see the forest because of the trees" attitude, It's better if we look at the current big pictures. It was reported before Christmas that there were Millions of smart phones on the market and 50 more million on it's way at Christmas time.

active smartphones grew from 61.2 million to 95.8 million, a 67 percent increase over the prior year, in a semi-annual survey, covering January to June 2011.

Other compelling statistics from the survey include:
•The average local monthly wireless bill, including voice and data service, dropped 1 percent to $47.23.

•The total number of SMS messages sent and received increased 16 percent to 1.138 trillion.

•The total number of MMS sent and received fell to 28.2 billion from 32.1 billion.

•The total number of data-capable devices grew 5 percent to 278.3 million.

•And the annual capital investment from CTIA's carrier members increased by 28 percent to $27.5 billion.

Interestingly, the number of wireless subscriptions in the United States now exceeds the total amount of the U.S. population, giving the country a wireless penetration rate of 103.9 percent. The CTIA said that there are now 327.6 million U.S. mobile connections compared to 315.5 million people in the country.

Here, please look at this link and understand the problem with other carriers.

  • Look Coach, I am not dogging the stock as an investment. I am dogging Clearwire management for misleading investors about expected results for the quarter. And it is a criminal act.
