Gill says Nvidia (NVDA -1%) has up to a 12-month lead in quad-core processors and notes progress in developing band wireless chips to compete with QCOM. Synaptics (SYNA -3.4%) is “gaining significant momentum in smartphone,” with a good chance at being in tablets and notebooks based on Windows 8 (MSFT).
