Yes, the 4s was such a disappointment that the consumers made it the best selling iPhone yet and the number 1 selling smartphone since it launched.

A million shares hit the market for sale in a trade and that's what drove the downdraft. The stock's run to $548 had little to do w/ the iPad3.

AAPL keeps on adding innovation and new products and still some of those, who probably don't own any stock to speak of, demand investigations. They seem to want the company to keep on growing with no pauses to digest the gains, build a base for the next growth phase, etc. I'll back the R&D team that's developing IPad 6 just about now. plus things none of us are aware of or can comprend existing today..
When AAPL was working on the IPad at the beginning they had 3 teams of engineers with each team working a different phase. When they finally put it together each team was amazed at what the IPad was. None of them could comprehend that far ahead. So don't doubt the company just yet. Next, if they begin to pay a dividend these same people will predict the demise of the company. Personally, I will continue to purchase on pull backs. But, hey, I don't know any more than any other investor who has held the stock for 10 years.

Ha, as i recall that "incremental" little upgrade to the iPhone 4 went on to produce a record 4th quarter, what was it 130-150% increase over 4Q 2011! Ouch.

As an investor I'd be very happy with an incremental upgrade to the iPad 2. There's a reason why Apple is the only $500B market cap and it's not from listening to blogs either.

My exact sentiments. Not to mention that I don't see too many consumers complaining about the 4S either.

I'm excited to buy my first tablet. I couldn't care less if it gets called the iPad 3 or iPad HD.

I think its almost more important what isn't said: The iPad2, still the best tablet on the market, will be coming down in price. Now all of you who have been waiting will be able to get an amazing device without feeling like you're already obsolete.

Nonetheless, I feel the share price will react like some of these posters.

As someone who has been waiting for the IPad 3 to finally buy a tablet, I am pretty disappointed that this is sounding like less than an upgrade than I had hoped. That being said, I am still going to get one, because I am tired of waiting.....and all the other Apple addicts out there I'm sure will have to have the latest and greatest as well, even if it is marginally better at best.
