Wait till Iran shuts down with the rest of EU. They promise to do that by June. Anymore disturbances come from Saudi Arabia, gas will for sure hit $5 nationwide.

When a guy in the EU needs to move a refrigerator, he backs his 50 MPG diesel car into his small trailer, hitches it up and he now has the equivalent of a pick-up truck.
When an American needs to more a refrigerator, he gets in his 18 MPG big V-8 pickup and does the same. Point being - They make do with what they have, not with what they like.

Been there - seen that!

ILL has a very high gas tax. I fill up in MO and TN, never in ILL.
Guess who gets all our fast food money when we stop? Not ILL.
No small wonder Obama has made ILL his loving home.
He loves Taxes and hates oil...

Americans don't like diesel cars, most other countries do. So we make as much diesel per barrel as possible and export the stuff to countries that pay Brent like prices. There's nothing wrong about that. You would do the same thing if you owned a gulf coast refinery, but it does keep prices high.

Using a price of $4.11/G. in July 2008 to compare a per gal. price of $3.80/G in March 2012 is misleading. I realize the writer stated that $3.80/g for March is the highest price of any thime in the past, but I believe the article was trying to confuse readers.

Fact: The price of gas since 2009-2012, has been higher on avg. as anytime on average, in history. Not just a particular point(s), but on average.
