Shouldn't be needed anyway, though I'm among today's losers..
50% lower fuel prices are a pretty good incentive...
All the government needs to do is get the hell out of the way of the open market, supply and demand, and stand back. Private businesses will figure out how to do it, with the incentive of the money to be made. Obama was chanting about a govt team of scientists to figure out how to use more nat'l gas as fuels.....
Again, if he'd look around he'd see that pvt enterprise is alread doing it...i.e. Cummins, and the "big three". - GM, Chrysler and Ford alread have these pickups out there.

Check out Peru and how they use NG for automobiles. I took a Taxi from Lima to the Airport which was around an hour drive and it cost me 20 US dollars including the tip!

Well, the Republicans aren't much interested in lowering gasoline prices either apparently. if it interferes with their contributors plans. CNG is happening anyway. It's not just F, GM and Chrysler, MMM and GE are getting into the business. MMM wants to make less expensive vehicle tanks, which are the single most expensive component. GE just introduced CNG in a box. Basically aimed at enterprises that need to fuel their own fleets.
