Falling coffee prices will be a topic of discussion as coffee sellers such as SBUX, KFT, SJM, DNKN, PEET, and GMCR meet this week at the National Coffee Association's annual convention, After rising early last year and pressuring margins, arabica prices are now at 16-month lows. Soaring penetration rates for single-serve machines such as Green Mountain's Keurig and Starbucks' just-announced Verismo will also receive attention.

On another comment thread people we extolling the virtues of how StarBucks cares about growers and is more socially responsible. So I am sure SB's is paying all these farmers a living wage because it is the right thing to do and not just dropping this lower cost to their bottom line as they keep their retail coffee prices up.
