Monday, March 19, 2012, 5:58 PM ETThe first Windows 8 PCs and tablets will reportedly arrive in October, and the initial hardware will include systems featuring ARM-based (ARMH) processors to go with x86 Intel (INTC) gear. However, there will be less than 5 ARM-based systems at launch time (compared with 40+ Intel systems), due to Microsoft's (MSFT) tight control over production standards. QCOM, TXN, and NVDA have lofty ambitions for the ARM Windows 8 market.
