Wednesday, March 21, 2012, 11:06 AM ETKraft (KFT +0.1%) plans to change the corporate name of its global snacks company to Mondelez International to better encapsulate the idea of a "delicious world" and its ongoing global push in advance of a split of the company into two. Product lines falling under the new Mondelez names will include Oreo, Trident Gum, Tang, and Cadbury.

Mondelez? Never heard of this until today. Doesn't sound like the Oreo cookie that I have been eating for 68 years. Mondelez doesn't ring a bell with my desire to chew Trident Gum. Or drink Mondelez orange juice from the space age Tang. Mondelez, Cadbury? Maybe. But I always thought Cadbury was chocolate.
Kraft to Mondelez? Almost as dumb as Coke to Neanderthal.
