    Hartford Financial (HIG +0.4%), under pressure from investor John Paulson, says it is considering divesting its annuity business and other potential deals to reduce risk. “There are the beginnings of markets that are appearing to be receptive to transactions on annuity, particularly U.S. books,” CEO Liam McGee says. “The phones are ringing off the hook."
