    Violin Memory, a developer of high-performance storage arrays relying on NAND flash memory, discloses it has raised a $50M funding round at an $800M valuation. Violin, which has a partnership with H-P and competes to an extent with FIO, OCZ, STEC, and other server flash memory subsystem vendors, says it will likely go public by year's end.
