    Is Pendrell (PCO +2.1%) about to become the tech sector's latest patent troll? The provider of "corporate intellectual property solutions and litigation insights" has acquired 1,300 patents related to 3G and 4G protocols, e-commerce software, mobile operating systems, video streaming, and much else. Pendrell says it now holds over 1,500 patents, along with hundreds of pending applications.
