"Not scared yet," asks a punter, putting up a chart of the VIX (VXX) going back a few years. The "fear index" has sunk to the level from about where it makes a seemingly annual charge higher - yesterday's big move up hardly registers.

Don't try to call a 'top'- anymore than you can try to call a 'bottom'. Simply, is it going up or down? Greed will get you every time. Had you picked up TVIX around 7.50/8.00 last week and sold yesterday around 8.50/9.00- would you not be happy? Realize the extreme (Bottom/Top) was $5.44 and $9.77 within a 7 day trading window. Could anyone actually call it?
