Wednesday, April 11, 2012, 4:58 PM ETWorldwide PC shipments rose 1.9% in Q1 to 89M units, according to new data from Gartner, ahead of the firm’s previous projection of a 1.2% decline. Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) was the top vendor, with 15.3M units, up 3.5% Y/Y, as H-P "was able to secure HDD inventory" and restore lost business as internal management issues become resolved.
