US banks have drastically reduced their liabilities to the Euro debt machine. The US economy is on the mend. The markets are taking a breather from a big run up. There is no end of the world scenario worth discussing here. Unless of course you belong to the tin hat crowd!!

Looks like a convention of tin hatters is congregating on this article. LOL

It won't take long for specs to realize that how Europe goes is how the US goes. No more debt monetization in EU and US in 2012 will push global stocks down at least 50 percent.

Spain's index is very close to the global financial crisis lows of March 09. There were only a handful of days worse. To find anything beyond that, you need to go back 10 years in the index and that was BEFORE Spain's massive cheap credit fuelled housing bubble. The only thing long in my portfolio is gold and otherwise I have shorts, yet this is depressing and very worrying. Are we in the end game now?
