What does that signify? "Catch up to Apple?" Does NOK need to BE Apple to be profitable? Is their goal, and your expectation, that they sell an equal number of devices in a given time period? Or are you looking at a given degree of profitability on reasonable margins with a growing/recovering market share? If you are looking for the former, buy Apple stock, at least until the Apple heads die out or move on to other fancies. If the latter, you probably need to ask a different question.
Fair enough. The history of electronic devices, though, suggests that as time passes prices decrease and margins with them, so historical/recent margins may not be realistic for anyone. Apple has been more exempt from this trend because of their kind of trekkie appeal to what is essentially a cult following when theirs was the only game in town. But as that game changes, they too will have to adjust. Case in point. A Chinese national of my acquaintance, of the age and education/income demographic that Apple and the smartphone market most appeal too, told me with no prompting whatsoever that her boyfriend gave her an iPhone as a gift after she had used an android OS knockoff for a year and a half, but she would not buy one herself. I inferred that she thought it was no great shakes, especially given the price.

And by "catch up" I meant pose at least a tiny little threat to Apple in any single market anywhere in the world.
