    Facebook (FB) has opened its second data center, a giant North Carolina facility that will be followed up by another building that mirrors it. The data center, which features low-power servers based on Facebook's Open Compute Project, stands to receive a large chunk of the company $1.7B in planned 2012 capex. F5 Networks (FFIV) and Fusion-io (FIO) are among the companies providing hardware for Facebook's data centers.

    Facebook used to rent spce in already built data centers (like those run by Equinix or other operators, what does Facebook & Apple think -- that they can build & operate data centers for cheaper than these professionalswho do this for a living & are very successful at what they do (building and operating data centers internationally and in a proffessional manner) ??? And if they keep the data secured at one location only (their own) wont do too much good, whist Equinex and company can keep the data securwe in many locations. There are many small (like DBSI) and large companies in the data centers business; so then Facebook, Apple, MIcrosoft etc will learn one day that you cant do everything, they should do only the things you can do well & that are central to your business ONLY !!!

    I also have FIO and FFIV waiting for FIO results tomorrow FIO can be bought out easily by many companies since it is less expensive than FFIV Both companies have a great future IMO
