@#$% Dominion. Talk about obstructionist!

For years, Dominion Virginia Power executives have been raking in millions while using their dirty energy money to buy political power. They’ve been making backroom deals to rig the rules for fossil fuels and for themselves.

They generate ZERO electricity for rate payers from wind or solar power but they’ve bamboozled Virginia-mandated electricity rates to include a whopping $76 million renewable energy reward for themselves.

We are outraged and Dominion needs to know it. If this is what business as usual looks like, then business as usual isn’t acceptable and has to stop before the planet cooks. It’s time for Virginians to stand up to Dominion’s exploitation and fight for a massive shift to wind and solar power.

As a Virginia resident and Dominion customer I would like to thank those at Dominion for not wasting my money (as a customer, shareholder and taxpayer) on wind power and thereby affording us the growing benefits of cheap natural gas generated electricity. I hope they've made similar decisions regarding solar.

As to the Sierra Club's actions on Cove Point, given the caveat they seem to have won in a previous settlement, it would be remiss of them not to use its existence to leverage something from their position. One can only hope that both they and Dominion find common ground quickly.

RK, I hope you can influence some other members of this pitifully recalcitrant bunch of mental dwarfs. The Sierra club seems bent on proving that environmentalism is a disease not a real world concept. Everyone has doubts about a lot of the things happening in energy right now but natural gas use instead of coal is not one of them, at least to real world thinkers. Hope that one day it comes home to them, in a most unpleasant way.
