CME Group is set to extend its hours for grain trading as soon as this month, according to sources, as it responds to ICE, which now offers a 22-hour trading day and is planning look-alike contracts for corn, wheat, and beans. The expanded hours means trading will be open when the USDA releases its key data (in the past, always pre or post-market hours).
