Apparently, AOL's (AOL -2%) talks with Starboard value about ending the latter's proxy fight didn't go well. AOL has issued a letter accusing Starboard of advocating a "short-sighted approach," that would hurt shareholder value, and of making "false and misleading statements" to gain support. The letter comes amidst rumors Arianna Huffington wants to buy back the Huffington Post from AOL - a move that would probably sit well with Starboard.
