The e-commerce giant has signed up hundreds of clothing brands over the last year, and that contributed to a triple-digit Y/Y increase in apparel sales. However, Amazon still has to contend with brands wary of its historically aggressive pricing, as well as competition from specialists such as Gilt Groupe.
