T-Mobile USA (DTEGY.PK) has named Ericsson (ERIC) and Nokia Siemens (NOK, SI) its infrastructure partners for its $4B 4G LTE buildout. NSN, which has been posting huge losses and is reeling from the LightSquared debacle, could definitely use the work. Notably absent is Alcatel-Lucent (ALU), whose wireless sales fell 29.5% Y/Y in Q1. T-Mobile plans to begin offering LTE services in 2013. (previous)

  • Probably more positive on the build-out partners than for T-Mobile. However, increased 4G deployment could spur somewhat slowed down smartphone sales in the U.S.
