    U.S. flat-panel TV prices continued their year-long surge in April, reports iSuppli: the price of the average set reached $1248, up 11.4% from December. Adoption of LED TVs and 3D TVs is contributing to the increase, but so are stabilizing LCD panel and glass prices, and an end to the brutal price war TV manufacturers such as Sony (SNE), Panasonic (PC), and Samsung (SSNLF.PK) were engaged in last year.

    Good news for GLW! Been waiting for glass prices to turn around. GLW is much more diversified than most people realize but flat screen glass is a good portion of their rev.

    These new all-LED backlights are so awesome, its hard to walk away from them. 3.2 Million to one contrast ratio just for starters. The LEDs produce a bluer white than Florescent tubes. Only uses 35 watts, so runs real cool.
    Found no deals on the internet - unusual. So that must be true.

    Found a just released Samsung UN40EH5050 at Sam's Club and jumped on it for 599.00. MSRP is batting 800.
    Figure, no use in waiting around for the price to go up.
