I would expect Windows 8 to make significant ground in sales volume for tablets, as long as device manufacturers deliver quality devices. If device manufacturers price near Apple iPad levels, but offer greater (more laptop like) functionality, then sales may be robust, though I expect netbooks and laptops to decline in sales. The other unknown is battery life, because all that power may place quite the drain on longevity.
