So it makes sense that Hawaiian Airlines (HA) grades highest; next came AirTran (LUV) and US Airways (LCC). Bottom three: ExpressJet (SKYW), Virgin America, United (UAL).

I think the airline performance is largely based on their on ground turnaround operations. Weather congestion certainly contributes its share of troubles, but it is not controllable.
