Repsol (REPYY.PK) files a lawsuit against Argentina in a New York court in response to the country's nationalization of its local YPF unit. The notification is a first and necessary step in what likely will be a years-long face off with Argentina's government at the World Bank's International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes.

  • The affaire Repsol offers a unique opportunity to show that the European Union can be efficient and take actions to protect the interests of its citizens. also that International Organisations do performed as paid for.

REPSOL organised the Argentinian company YPF and consitnuously suffered "extorsions" from Argentina: had to supply the Argentinian market at only 41$ a barrel, could not sell its shares but Mrs Kitchner had to broker the deal, selling cheap to an Argentinean citizen, now the nationalisation and it goes on banning the import of certain EU products.

Furthermore the Europeans working there suffered a rough take-over by the police and the Argentinian colleages.

Will this bad exemple be rectified?
