What is the new to justify the title " the SEC has opened a probe on the company's disclosures. " ?
I would understand if the probe was not disclosed, but not if it is already known!
The Company has also become aware that the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) has commenced a formal investigation, which the Company believes may relate to some of the same issues raised in the securities and derivative actions. The ultimate financial impact of these various proceedings if any is not yet determinable and therefore, no provision for loss, if any, has been recorded in the financial statements. The Company has insurance that it believes affords coverage for much of the anticipated costs of these proceedings, subject to a $1.5 million self-insured retention and the policies’ other terms and conditions.
What a bunch of idiots. It’s been out since May 7. Gosh…do ya think it’s options expiration week?
The shills in the press must be working overtime.
This is getting tiresome. I guess a note to the SEC Enforecment Division, FINRA, and the US Attorney's Office is in order.

And by the way, I've been sending material out for five years...to Washington, to the press, to the media...and nothing, except for some sophomoronic articles in The Washington Post and the Boston Globe in 2007. Investigative journalism in this country not only is an oxymoron, it's dead and done. Put a fork in it.

PS: One exception...Sen. Chuck Grassley, who demanded an investigation into the DNDN Bear Raid of April 2009. It's been 3 years, and despite the SEC's statements that an investigation is underway, we have yet to see anything. I'm not holding my breath. T
Some day, the truth will come out about the circumstances surrounding the Provenge Advisory Committee meeting of March 29, 2007, the leaked letters, the conflicts of interest of two people on the AdCom, the seven hedge funds that had significant counterintuitive trades, and so forth. Lots of people know what happened. And you know what Ben Franklin said: Three may keep a secret, if two of them are dead.
Sooner or later, a whistleblower is going to step forward, and the whole thing is going to blow up in the government's face. It will make Madoff look like a Sunday school picnic.

What, as far as you know, happened on this March 29, 2007 meeting? Is this Provenge Advisory Committee in any way involved in the decisions reached by DNDN's IRBs (institutional review boards)?

see http://bit.ly/8JtvOv and look at the top for the Dendreon story.
Roughly, 1000 people per quarter are being treated. As more and more people get treated, there will be a tidal wave of good efficacy data.
The SEC was at the Money Show a few years ago, and I mentioned this to the agent and she had no interest in looking into anything illegal being done against DNDN.

I can't believe DNDN can't get their side of the story into the local newspaper.
Nothing like local publicity to get politicians to act. They seem to like getting beat up, and those doing the beating will until DNDN fights back.

PS Did you see my piece today:

Neither the financial meltdown of 2008 nor the Madoff scandal brought changes to Washington and Wall Street. The banksters bought our government, and corruption is the word for the day.
