  • I have owned CHK for several years now and watched it go up and down and watched McClendon repeatedly violate shareholders' trust. I have continued to hold because the strategy was brilliant and I expected long term returns. Only problem was the strategy was carried to the extreme and the Company was ill positioned to handle any unforeseen crisis: i.e. the drop in NG prices. So in essence the Board and McClendon "bet the company" on a reckless buy more more more acreage with more more more debt. All the while management and Board members have been personally exploiting the company via outrageous payments; apparently free use of the corporate aircraft; allowed McClendon to generously support his Ok City ball club; and bailed McClendon out with lavish perks and salaries while the whole structure was imploding. Is it time for some accounting?? You bet. Fire the whole lot of the worthless bums and replace them with people of integrity or sell the entire company.

  • I've already voted my paltry 200 shares of CHK to withhold support for the two board members on the ballot. These clowns are getting paid upward of $500 k/yr each to do what? None of them apparently have the b---ls to rein in the Chairman.

  • I own about 300 shares . When are the ballots being mailed out. I think Jim Cramer needs to get Chk CEO and possibly some of the board members on his show since he was beating the drum for this company for years on how great the CEO was.. Come on Jim stop hiding behind your pride and ego and do the right thing. You were hoodwinked too!!
