Greeks voted for Syriza because the primary parties failed to represent their interests.

Syriza's inability to compromise in the interests of the people and tone down its rhetoric is pushing folks back to the partioes responsible for Greece's failures, ND / PASOK.

The situation is by no means resolved as Syriza may still soften its position, pulling those votes back, but the track continues to look distinctly like Greece is staying in the EU, and will vote for same.

Greece's interest is to first stay in the Euro and not become a 3rd world country and 2nd to get a pro-growth policy to help them out of the depression. The least bad option is the new democracy party.
Hopefully they will get a good mandate as voters come to their senses, and at least one macro risk will be taken off the table as the EU kicks that can down the road.
