Friday, May 18, 2012, 1:30 PM ETCoffee sellers such as Starbucks (SBUX +0.6%), Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR +1.1%) and Peet's Coffee & Tea (PEET +0.1%) may try to get some mileage out of a new paper published in the New England Journal of Medicine finding coffee drinkers without pre-existing medical conditions live longer than non-drinkers of the beverage. The conclusions from the 10-year study are also backed up in part by scientific analysis on the seemingly-positive effects of coffee on the risks of diabetes.
