Monday, May 21, 2012, 8:40 AM ETCable giants Bright House Networks, Cablevision (CVC), Cox Communications, Comcast (CMCSA), and Time Warner Cable (TWC) announce that they will allow high-speed Internet customers to share each other's Wi-Fi networks in metropolitan areas as a value-added service. The 50K hotspots under the new CableWiFi banner will attempt to carve out market share from wireless carriers.
