    Nvidia (NVDA) claims its quad-core Tegra 3 processor has been designed into 30 smartphones. That's twice as many design wins as were claimed last year by the Tegra 2, which saw sales fizzle due to weak demand for high-end Android tablets. It's added 13 of the Tegra 3 smartphones have unsubsidized prices below $300 - that could prove important, given the high-end design wins claimed by Apple and Samsung's in-house chips, and Qualcomm's MSM8960.
