    "I would say most people would say this [TV sets] is not an area in their life that they're pleased with," says Tim Cook at the D10 conference (live blog), stoking growing expectations of an Apple (AAPL) set. Also: Cook talks down the idea of Apple being a content owner, carrier, or home console provider; says Apple isn't considering any major acquisitions (but doesn't rule them out); hints at a future Facebook (FB) partnership; and claims Apple is "doubling down" on Siri.

    "Doubling down" on Siri is intriguing. Siri has a great AI engine and tons of untapped potential uses.

    If Apple TV (or control box) lets my wife select programs by name, using SIRI, instead of trying to remember channel numbers, I will buy one.
